About us
Techmetrics GmbH was founded as a competence center for calibration technology, measurement processes, calibration methods, as well as training services and accreditations according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. The cornerstone was laid in April 2023 by Helmut Hager.
We are an approved sales and service partner of RH Systems (USA). In addition, we draw on our international network to be able to present you with suitable solutions, equipment, systems or software for your tasks or requirements.
RH Systems Sales and Service Center Europe
We are an approved sales and service center for RH Systems from the USA, responsible for parts of Europe. The family-run company is the world's leading premium manufacturer of humidity generators and temperature measurement technology and was founded in 1998 by Bob Hardy. In the 1990s he converted the vapor pressure equations and enhancement factors to the then new temperature scale (ITS-90). His publication "ITS-90 Formulations for Vapor Pressure, Frostpoint Temperature, Dewpoint Temperature, and Enhancement Factors in the Range -100 to 100 C" serves as the basis for the calculation of humidity parameters for many metrology institutes.
RH Systems instruments are well known internationally and have a legendary reputation as precise, reliable and durable instruments.

I have been working in accredited calibration laboratories since 1999 and during this time I discovered my passion for metrology. I was employed by G. Lufft Mess- und Regeltechnik GmbH in Fellbach (today OTT HydroMet Fellbach GmbH) for 19 years before I started working in 2018 for the Swiss premium manufacturer of chilled mirror hygrometers, MBW Calibration AG in Wettingen (today Process Insights Swiss AG). I had the great task of setting up a subsidiary in Germany (MBW Calibration GmbH in Fellbach, then LAR Process Analyzers AG, today Process Insights AG - Process Insights Calibration Center).
In early 2023 I founded Techmetrics GmbH, with a focus on metrological devices and services. I still find the world of metrology exciting and challenging and I am therefore also involved in various committees or areas of activity:
- since 2016 chairman of the DKD technical committee for temperature and humidity
(7 years previously deputy) - initiator and main author of the DKD guideline DKD-R 5-8
"Calibration of hygrometers for the direct measurement of relative humidity" - member of the technical committee VDI/VDE-GMA FA 2.53 "Measurement of gas humidity" (Guidelines VDI/VDE 3514 Part 1-3)
- Nominated expert assessor (auditor) of the DAkkS (German Accreditation Body) for humidity measurands and calibration of climate chambers
